Winter Field Day 2025, held on January 25th and 26th, was an exceptional experience in winter contest conditions. I was offered to go with a team (VE7KPZ, VE7QH, VE7RIZ) to Larch Hills, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to join. Instead, I decided to go somewhere closer to home, in the South Canoe area near Salmon Arm, British Columbia. I had been thinking about this contest all year, and the day had finally arrived.
In order to verify the coverage of the Shuswap Amateur Radio Club repeaters compared to modeling data, the club decided to organize and hold an exercise to determine the actual coverage of the VHF repeaters on the major highway routes in the region. The exercise was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 starting at 10:30AM local time.
On Saturday 10 January the following club members met at the QTH of Peter VE7RZZ to get the ball rolling for Field Day 2017:

On Tuesday, Simon VE7SHG, Dave VA7HDY, Peter VE7RZZ, and Ron VE7RLE spent some time getting the trailer looking presentable for Field Day this coming weekend and for display at the Field Day / Airport site as part of the Shuswap Emergency Program Exposition at the Sunday, June 26th Airport Appreciation Day.
