On Tuesday, Simon VE7SHG, Dave VA7HDY, Peter VE7RZZ, and Ron VE7RLE spent some time getting the trailer looking presentable for Field Day this coming weekend and for display at the Field Day / Airport site as part of the Shuswap Emergency Program Exposition at the Sunday, June 26th Airport Appreciation Day.

A checklist of the tasks performed includes:
–Sweeping
–Vacuuming
–Wiping down all counters, etc.
–Testing the generator
–Tower: raising and lowering
–Removing wasps from the window screen and vent screen
–Removing batteries, cleaning terminals and charging
–Washing the outside of the trailer

Tasks pending include:
–Checking brake and tail lights
–Checking tire air pressure
–Refurbishing the rodent-damaged first aid kit [Thanks, Simon]

The trailer will be towed to the airport site on Friday, June 25 at 1400 hours where set up of antennas and of the tent will take place.

Please join us on Friday afternoon and also put some time aside for operating on Saturday throughout the night to Sunday noon.

Bring your camera for a number of great photo ops with radio and with airplane, helicopter demonstrations and so forth.
