On Friday, September 27th, Dorn VE7HDU and Hans VE7OHR provided transportation for Phil VE7BPH and Robin VE7HMN up to the Queest Mountain Repeater via the Malakwa route.

Looking West to Copper Island and Scotch Creek.

The main tasks were replacement of the NiCd batteries on the APRS system with newer Honda 400Ah NiCD batteries and reconnection and testing of the Motorola M10 UHF Link radio. A general inspection and testing of the repeater and antenna systems was also carried out.  The timing of this trip couldn’t have been tighter, as it snowed on Queest Mountain on Saturday night.  Thanks to Dorn, Hans, Phil and Robin for their teamwork!
