Minutes of the Monthly Meeting: September 10, 2026

6. Web Site: working fine. Updating plugins is an ongoing requirement
7. Repeater Reports: all working fine.

7.1 VE7RNH – 146.760- : work party on Saturday the 12^th to repair damaged drain pipe and to apply           emulsion to the leaking area of the roof

7.2 VE7AHR – 147.140+:

7.3 VE7QMR – 145.470-: seems to be free of interference now.  Jack and Cory from Vella Radio Links       were up servicing their repeater and found the plywood covering the window of SARC’s trailer was removed.  They replaced it.  Robin is sending an Icom IC-H16 handheld radio up to QMR with Jack.  This will replace the current radio on the APRS system with one that restarts properly after a low voltage event.

7.4 VE7RSA – 147.020+: Phil removed the controller and replaced it with a previous model.  He    dismantled and cleaned it and it now seems to be working fine.  Time will tell.

Due to the challenge linking with RNH Robin MOVED and Gary SECONDED a motion, to determine the viability of a UHF link to RNH and coverage of a repeater at the Larch Hills Nordic Society chalet.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       CARRIED

9. New and Unfinished Business:

9.1 RNH maintenance

9.2 Spectrum Sign Works

M: Gary                 S:  Blane                , that the Secretary write a letter thanking Spectrum for the reduction of $160 on the price of our banner by having them put their logo on the banner                                                                     CARRIED

9.3 M:  Peter         S: Blane                 , that the Secretary write a letter to Mareike Klem  thanking her for the donation of two table top pull up sign banners                                                                                                                                                  CARRIED

10. Information Only Items:

10.1 Care of the Club logo – this is a copyrighted design and is not to be altered in any manner.

10.2 There will be a meeting of the Tech Committee this fall to cost out the service and maintenance costs  expected over the next year.  Once this is done we can make grant applications to various organizations in the area for support in maintaining and improving our service.
