- Web Site: Robin by email- SSL Certificates – no longer issued for periods longer than a year. Our domain and hosting are up for renewal in the spring so will just renew the SSL Certificates manually until then. The latest certificate is good until Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 11:57:55 AM. The updates to the RAC website are still an ongoing issue. Robin will send another email.
- Repeater Reports:
7.1 VE7RNH – 146.760- : working fine. Robin hopes to do a maintenance trip to RNH later in August – looking for volunteers to help out.
7.2 VE7AHR – 147.140+: working fine. Maintenance trip planned for early September – volunteers?
7.3 VE7QMR – 145.470-: working fine. Battery charger required to charge lead acid batteries
7.4 VE7RSA – 147.020+: not working due to failed Maxon transmitter. The RLC2a controller has also failed after its electrolytic capacitors were replaced. More on that in September
- Club Correspondence:
8.1 Letter to Peter Rizzi thanking him for his contributions to the Club
8.2 Hickman/Shand(Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) emails regarding sponsorship of VE7RSA
- New and Unfinished Business:
9.1 QMR battery charger – Jack recommends a 40 amp analog charger be purchased. M: Celia S: Blane , that, up to $250.00 be allocated to the purchase of a shop battery charger for QMR. CARRIED
9.2 RSA transmitter- Phil offered the use of one of his Wouxon M-8 radios as a trial to see how effective this unit would be as a repeater transmitter.
9.3 Celia – Fall Fair. The fall fair organizers are repairing the damage done to the Memory Lane structures. A work party is planned for Saturday, October 16th at 09:00 for clean up and painting?? Volunteers welcome.
– 8 armbands, for three days, will be provided to the Club
– setup will start at 08:00 on Friday, August 22nd. Wayne could use a hand
